Ray Zeleny opened his blacksmith shop, Windy Hill Forge, in Perry Hall, Maryland back in 1978. With over 60 years in the blacksmithing trade, his handiwork has been seen all over the world.

The Cast House, a division of Windy Hill Forge. specifically offers wall washers (also referred to as: wall anchors, brick anchors, tie plates, iron tie-rod plates, earthquake bolts, pattress plates, or gib plates), a variety of shutter holdbacks, exclusive zimmerman fasteners, shutter hinges, reproduction and repair of parts, hardware, locksmithing, and other castings & specialty metalwork.

As owner and operator Ray has specialized in custom ornamental iron work and metalwork fabrication and finishing, and specialty & antique reproduction casting in all metals, restoration and antique locksmithing, custom design original and specialty iron pieces, reproduction, restoration and repair of antique pieces rare ironwork, historic castings and hardware. Items to include: Railings, Doors, Gates, variety of hardware: wall washers, hinges, shutter holdbacks, knobs, latches, bolts, etc., lighting: sconces, chandeliers and candleholders, etc. Fabrication of Specialty Tools, Display Mountings for artworks, artifacts, weathervanes, etc. restoration, repair and replication of antiques.

Work Featured in Baltimore Zoo, Lexington Market, Walter’s Art Gallery, Peale Museum, Flag House, Baltimore Museum of Art, Maryland Historical Society, University Hospital, in banks, large department stores, and hotels in and around Baltimore, as well Private Residential and Commercial Buildings both historic and new construction installations, and in a variety of publications throughout the years.
